The problem with the discrepancy in CPU usage between Task Manager and Rainmeter may be due to specific settings. You can try the following steps to see if it helps.I've been using Rainmeter for years and have been loving it.
However, I just built a new computer and after installing Rainmeter, I find that the CPU meter is WAY off.
When the Task Manager performance meter say 57%, rainmeter says only 8%.
Is there some setting I need to tweak for a modern CPU?
Thanks!!
1. Check the settings of the CPU meter skin in Rainmeter. Make sure it is properly configured to read data from your new processor.
2. Try updating to the latest version of Rainmeter.
3. Consider using a different CPU meter skin or widget. Some skins may measure CPU data with better accuracy.
4. Check if any settings in Task Manager or your system may affect how CPU usage is measured.
If you still can't resolve the issue, you may consider using another performance monitoring tool, such as HWMonitor or MSI Afterburner to compare and check the accuracy. Hopefully these suggestions will help you fix the discrepancy in CPU usage display.
